They are looking for a Data Operations Team Manager to join the AI. The Data Team Manager will lead a team of data professionals, overseeing the creation, acquisition, and annotation pipeline of images and videos. The role involves managing teams of annotators and a team of data validation specialists. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data annotation practices, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to align the team's efforts with the company’s strategic goals.
Job responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a diverse data team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Manage end-to-end data projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with AI group goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Insight, Product, Support, Cloud and more.
- Data Acquisition: Design and carry out experiments in order to get specific types of data needed
- Data Pipeline: Ensure the implementation and adherence to data policies, including data annotation policies, security, and data formats, in order to get results efficiently.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for other departments regarding data initiatives. Translate algorithm needs into an actionable data pipeline.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Implement monitoring frameworks to track the performance of the data going through the pipeline.
- Technology & Tools Management: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of data tools, technologies, and platforms. Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budget for data team activities, including tool licenses, training, and team development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in management, information technology, industrial engineering or management.
- 5+ years of experience in data-related roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Proven track record in managing and developing high-performance teams.
- Experience in building and managing data pipelines
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Proactive and initiator
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks.
- Knowledge of data formats best practices.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, or Looker.
