DroneUp is seeking a Director of Training to develop training programs and oversee current programs to ensure adherence to company goals.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Chief Pilot, this position will be responsible for managing and standardizing training across the organization
- Continuously develop, create, conduct, and evaluate all flight training based on Company policy and FAA regulation
- Manage the overall conduct and efficiency of all training within the company through continual evaluation of training and operational methods
- Facilitate implementation of new training and operational methods into current training material and operations publications
- Develop methods and tools to measure development and training initiative impact and effectiveness across the organization
- Supervise training, qualification, and currency records within the company and ensure that these records are maintained accurately and kept up to date
- Update the Training Manual and associated documents as new features become available
- Oversee curriculum development and flight academy operations
- Coordinate and participate in standardization reviews, mishap investigations, and training review boards
- Work with Safety to implement and enforce standards for all training operations
- Work closely with the local training staff to standardize training and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, aviation focus
- Ability to maintain FAA Airman Medical Certificate
- CFI/CFII certification
- Strong familiarity with Part 107 and Part 135 operations
- Experience working in a Part 141 or Part 142 training environment
- Strategic thinker and a solutions-oriented leader
- Knowledge of industry standards, rules, and regulations
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- 5+ years of experience in aviation training
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing standardized aviation training materials
- Excel in high pressure, energetic work environments
- Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification
- English proficiency fluent
- UAS and RC experience

Salary
$125,000 - $135,000
