DroneUp is seeking an accomplished Product Manager for the Data & Analytics team. In this role, the Product Manager is responsible for leading the cross-functional teams responsible for the success and ongoing improvement of the team's products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee products of the data and analytics team
  • Act as the team lead and be the voice for the team
  • Develop the strategy, roadmap, governance, and implementation of data analytics products to achieve outcomes that align with the organizational objectives
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the product team supporting the data analytics platform
  • Translate broad visions and concepts into actionable plans and measurable outcomes, and provide governance of the processes and implementation of plans
  • Partner with stakeholders on technology-related business problems
  • Review and prioritize product requirements to drive solution options, assess their relative merits and risks to determine the best solution and share insights with key stakeholders and development professionals
  • Be the liaison between business stakeholders in support of the Data & Analytics team (voice concerns, facilitate partnerships with other teams, release blockers, etc.)
  • Practice continuous improvement across all job areas
  • Drive all stages of the product life cycle, including defining and implementing refinements, new products and upgrades to increase longevity and providing world-class support of the team's products
  • Establish best practices, risk metrics, and reporting
  • Grow a strong supportive and collaborative culture within the data and analytics team
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in data science, data analytics, and product management
  • Thorough understanding of data science and analytics principles
  • Proficiency in programming languages and their use in data engineering especially Python and/or SQL
  • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (GCP preferred)
  • Experience with BigQuery and other GCP-based data analytics/data science tools a huge plus
  • Understanding of Scrum, ability to lead Scrum a huge plus
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI
  • Working knowledge of data engineering practices
